GORDON, Alexander Ensign in Cornwallis's Regiment of Marines 1 2General Notes: The narrative of Alexander Gordon's Testament Dative and Inventory is dated 2 November 1750. In it he is recorded as ""umqll Alexr Gordon Ensign in general Cornwallis's Regt. of Marines". It relates that he died abroad in March 1743, no date given. Only Executive Dative was Dr James Gordon of Pitlurg "cousin german to the defunct...qua nearest in kin decerned to him". |
