WILSON, James 1
General Notes: The 1871 census for Port Glasgow recorded James Wilson, his wife and their six children living at the 5th house in 21 Balfour Street. James was recorded as 36 years of age and had been born in Ireland. He worked as a flax dresser. James married Mary Ann VALLELY, daughter of Francis VALLELY in Glebe and Mary HUGHES, on 3 January 1853 in St Mungo's RC Chapel, Glasgow, Scotland.1 2 (Mary Ann VALLELY was born in Ireland 4 5 6, baptised on 24 August 1831 in Dungannon parish, County Tyrone, Ireland 7 and died 22 December 1900 at 7.30 pm in 3 William Street, Port Glasgow, Renfrewshire, Scotland 4.). The cause of her death was cerebral apoplexy. Marriage Notes: Banns of Marriage were recorded on 12 December 1852. |
