George married Marie CUMMING, daughter of Sir Alexander CUMMING of Coulter, MP, 1st Baronet and Elizabeth SWINTON, May 1738(contract).1 (Marie CUMMING was baptised on 28 February 1698 in Edinburgh parish, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland 4 and died on 21 October 1765 1.)


  Marriage Notes:

"Walker, George. 27th January, 1731.

Son of Alexander Walker, Lord Provost of Aberdeen, 1697-98, and Helen Irvine, his wife. Alumnus, Mar. Coll., 1704-7. App. to his brother-in-law, James Udny (1709). Procurator Fiscal of Aberdeenshire in 1727-28, and 1729-43. T Lieutenant in Town's defensive force, August, 1745. Treasurer of the Society of Advocates, 1743-45. Abandoned legal profession, and became a 'land waiter at the port of Aberdeen.' Married (contract dated May, 1738), Mary (died 21st October, 1765, aged 47), dau. of Sir Alexander Cuming of Culter, Bart., with issue :-
1. Alexander, born 1741.
2. George, born 1743.
3. Cumberland, (Named after the Duke of Cumberland) died January, 1747.
1. Elizabeth, born 1739, died young.
2. Helen, 3 died 14th March, 1825, in her 85th year.
3. Jean, born 1744, died in infancy.
4. Ann, died April, 1796, in her 21st year.
5. Mary, born 1749, died in infancy.
6. Jean, married Andrew Henderson, physician, Aberdeen;died 23rd December, 1827.
7. Mary, born 1753.
8. Elizabeth, born 1754.
9. Christian, born 1755.

Died 4th March, 1772, aged 67."
