John married Annabella BOYD, daughter of Sir Thomas BOYD of Kilmarnock and Unknown.1 2 (Annabella BOYD was born about 1435 and died before 19 May 1489 1.)

  Marriage Notes:

"He (Sir John Gordon of Lochinvar) married, first, Annabella, daughter of Robert, Lord Boyd (see quotation from volume 8 below) ... "

from Scots Peerage (vol 5)

"He (Edmund Hay) married Annabella, said to have been a daughter of Robert (Boyd), first Lord Boyd. If so, she apparently was married, secondly, as first wife, to Sir John Gordon of Lochinvar, who died after May 1517. She was certainly married to Edmund Hay before 9 December 1449, and a comparison between this date and those of the ascertained daughters and sisters of Lord Boyd will show that she is far more likely to have been his sister than his daughter. Edmund Hay was ancestor of the Hays of Barra, Rannes, Mountblairy, Cocklaw, Faichfield, Ranfield, Linplum, Alderstown, Mordington, etc."

from Scots Peerage (vol 8)

Note:
Scots Peerage, volume 5, mentions only Annabella's second husband. That she was previously married is a fact which makes it likely that she was born earlier than her second marriage suggests. 1 2

John next married Elizabeth LINDSAY.1 (Elizabeth LINDSAY was born about 1455.)

  Marriage Notes:

"Sir John Gordon married, secondly, before 19 May 1489, Elizabeth Lindsay, and by her he had issue"

from Scots Peerage (vol 5) 1
