(primus), Professor of Oriental Languages in King's College, Aberdeen ; educated there ; M.A. (27th March 1735) ; licen. by Presb. there ; called 9th June, and ord. 30th Sept. 1742 ; died 27th May 1766. Publication: A Sermon preached at the Assizes, Aberdeen (Edinburgh, 1750)."
