"George Leslie, the eldest son of the preceding (George Leslie 2nd of Iden), succeeded. Along with Sir John Guthrie of King-Edward, he was a Commissioner for taking up the parish poll in 1696. For himself, 'with his bedfellow, his tuo sones, and three daughters, viz. : - George, Alexander, Helen, Sophia, and Mary,' he paid £11 2s of poll."
