"In 1465 Gilbert Kennedy of Bargany enters into an indenture with the first Lord Kennedy, and John Kennedy, Lord Kennedy's eldest son, that David Kennedy, son and apparent heir of John Kennedy, shall marry Marion, daughter of the said Gilbert Kennedy ; and that Thomas Kennedy, son and apparent heir of Gilbert Kennedy, shall marry Catharine, daughter of John Kennedy, and sister of David Kennedy."

"Katherine (by first mariiage), married, contract 15 September 1465, to Thomas, eldest son of Gilbert Kennedy of Bargany, by whom she had issue. From a confirmation of the 24 January 1488 it appears that she had the lands of Dalfask, Trower, and Mackowanstown.

In 1481 Thomas Kennedy of Bargany is witness to a charter by John, Lord Kennedy, to Alexander Kennedy of Girvan Mains, the eldest son of his second marriage. In 1509 there is a letter of reversion by Thomas Kennedy of Bargany, afterwards Sir Thomas Kennedy, and Catharine Kennedy, his wife, in favour of Walter Kennedy of Glentig, of the lands of Arneil and others."
