Janet married Reverend Mr James WALKER Minister of Peterhead parish on 25 January 1750.1 (Reverend Mr James WALKER Minister of Peterhead parish was baptised on 13 May 1705 in Peterhead parish, Aberdeenshire, Scotland 2 and died on 1 January 1763.)

A fire in 1740 completely destroyed his manse. He marr. (1) 25th Jan. 1750, Janet (died May 1756), only daugh. of John Gordon, min. of Old Deer : (2) 17th Nov. 1757, Elizabeth Innes, who marr. (2) 28th May 1772, Thomas Gordon, professor of Greek, King's College, [Tombst.]"
