June 3. Registration. Rex Dollars. Thomas Cowy, burgess of Abd. v. James Liddell, burgess of Abd., brother german of the late John Liddell, Couper burgess of Abd. as heir or charged to enter as heir to his deceased brother. A Bond for l00 'Rex dollors extending ilk dollor to the soume of' 58/-, dated 8 July, 1642, by John Liddell the Defender's brother to Alexr. Straquhane, lawful son of the late John Straquhane, Skipper burgess of Abd., who had assigned it to the Pursuer on 21 July, 1648, was ordained to be registered for execution against the Defender. The Bond was signed at Sactkoll in Polland before witnesses James Abercromby and Lawrence Merser 'merchands & trawelleres in Poll' and the place of payment was to have been Elwowais Market."
