Margaret married John ALLARDICE 6th of that Ilk, son of John ALLARDICE 5th of that Ilk and Janet LUNDIE 'Lady of Allirdes', before 14 July 1541.¹ (John ALLARDICE 6th of that Ilk was born about 1510 and died on 9 September 1547 in Battle of Pinkie Cleugh, near Musselburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.)

  Marriage Notes:

"He (John Allardice) m. by 14 July 1541, to Margaret, daughter of Sir Thomas Erskine of Brechin, (she survived him and m. secondly, by 13 January 1577, to George Ramsay of Bamff¹[¹CS7/72/30.]), when, following his resignation, they had a precept from the chancery for infeftment in the lands of Thomastoun and Leys,²[² GD49/36.] and in which they were infeft on 15 April 1544. He was k. at the battle of Pinkie in September of 1547,³[³See GD49/47. John Allardice, his son, was deemed to be of age by virtue of an act of parliament relating to the heirs of those who may be killed during the battle. See also: Ex. Rolls. Vol. XVIII. P. 431.] and was father of:

1. John Allardice of that Ilk, (see below).

2. Jane Allardice, m. by January 1577, to Andrew Auchinleck of Pettreichie.⁴[⁴CS7/72/30.]"

Margaret next married George RAMSAY of Banff, son of Alexander RAMSAY of Banff and Elizabeth CRICHTON, by January 1577.¹ (George RAMSAY of Banff was born about 1523 and died in 1580 ².)
