Margaret married Alexander STRACHAN of Kemnay, fiar of Glenkindie, son of Alexander STRACHAN 7th of Glenkindie and Margaret FRASER, 4 July 1644(contract).¹ (Alexander STRACHAN of Kemnay, fiar of Glenkindie was born about 1620 and died by 1675 ².)

  Marriage Notes:

"On 5th August, 1644, Alexander Strachan, elder of Glenkindie, granted a Charter to Alexander Strachan, his son, of all and haill the lands of Glenkindie - terras ducales - Mill of Glenkindie, etc., etc., as mentioned in former Charter, in implement of a contract of marriage entered into by Alexander Strachan, elder, with consent of his spouse, Margaret Fraser, and Alexander Strachan, his eldest son. This was preliminary to the marriage of Alexander Strachan, younger, with Margaret Grahame, eldest daughter of Mr. George Grahame of Claverhouse. Sasine followed on above Charter in favour of Alexander Strachan, younger, 14th October, 1646. (Glenkindie papers)"
