"5. Beatrice. She does not appear in the Balbithan MS., but is mentioned in the Lyon Register. According to Douglas' Baronage she married Adam Duff in Clunybeg, and thus became the ancestor of the present Duke of Fife."

"Duke of Fife is a title in the Peerage of the United Kingdom which has been created twice, in both cases for Alexander, 1st Duke of Fife and 6th Earl Fife, who in 1889 married Louise, Princess Royal, the eldest daughter of Albert Edward, Prince of Wales, the future King Edward VII."

The 1st Earl Fife was William Duff, Lord Braco,1697-1763, the son of William Duff of Dipple, who in turn was the second son of Alexander Duff of Keithmore, whose parents were Adam Duff of Cluntbeg and Beatrice Gordon. William Duff of Dipple, 1653-1722, married Jean Gordon, the daughter of Sir George Gordon of Edenglassie. 1 2 3
