  General Notes:

In 1908 Patrick Weldon gave notice of the birth of his twins, Mary Philomena and Patrick. He was recorded as a coal miner. Similarly in 1909 and 1910 when his daughters, Julia and Margaret, were born. Their mother's name was recorded as Donnelly and McDonnell.

Patrick was the informant when his 2 month old daughter Margaret died in 1911.

Patrick Weldon was the informant of the death of his mother in law in 1919.

In his death certificate of 1926 Patrick Weldon was recorded as "Coal miner married to Margaret McNulty or Donnelly". His age at death was recorded as 47 years. Both of his parents were deceased.

The causes of Patrick's death were certified by T.J. Lyon LRCPS etc.

The informant of his death was Henry McNulty, Brother in law, of 34 Ravenscriag, by Motherwell.


Patrick married Margaret O'DONNEL, daughter of John O'DONNELL and Mary McGUNNIGAL (DNA Link), on 12 July 1907 in RC Church, Craigneuk, Lanarkshire, Scotland. (Margaret O'DONNEL was born on 12 June 1878 in Chapelhall, Holytown district, Bothwell parish, Lanarkshire, Scotland 1 and died 14 January 1919 at 11.00 am in 13 Belhaven Buildings, Craigneuk, Wishaw, Lanarkshire, Scotland.). The cause of her death was asthmatic bronchitis and heart failure.


  Marriage Notes:

The marriage was celebrated, after banns, according to the rites and forms of the Roman Catholic Church. The witnesses were Bernard Breadly and Mary McAvoy.

Patrick Weldon was an unmarried man, of 30 years of age, who worked as a coal miner. His address was noted as Hyndfield Row, Chapelhall. Both of his parents, Patrick Weldon, an iron work labourer, and Mary Swift, were deceased.

Maggie Donnelly was unmarried too, and was aged 28 years. Her address was 44 United Buildings, Craigneuk. By occupation she was a brickburner. Her mother was still living, but her father was dead.

The marriage was registered in Dalziel parish on 15 July 1907, George Sneddon registrar signing.

Patrick next married Maggie McANULTY on 30 December 1919 in RC Church, Craigneuk, Lanarkshire, Scotland. (Maggie McANULTY was born in 1881 in Cambusnethan parish, Lanarkshire, Scotland and died on 16 November 1953 in Meadowhead Road, Craigneuk, Lanarkshire, Scotland.). The cause of her death was myocardia and chronic bronchitis.


  Marriage Notes:

The marriage was celebrated after banns according to the rites and forms of the Roman Catholic Church. T. Delbeke was the priest who married the couple. The witnesses were Hendry McInulty [sic] and Kate Rooney.

Patrick and Margaret had both been widowed.

Patrick was a coal miner of 119 Meadowhead Road Wishaw. He was recorded as 42 years of age. His parents were both deceased.

Margaret was 38 years old and lived at 47 Ravenscraig Motherwell. Her parents, Robert McInulty, a coal miner, and Mary Linn, were deceased.

The marriage was registered on 3 January 1920, James Johnston being the signing registrar.
