Research Notes: THANKS Alice married John McCONVIL, son of Francis McCONVIL and Elizabeth O'HARE, on 26 November 1863 in Carluke, Lanarkshire, Scotland. (John McCONVIL was born in 1843 in Rathfriland, County Down, Ireland 1.) Marriage Notes: The marriage was celebrated after banns according to the rites and forms of the Roman Catholic Church. The presiding priest was Mortimer Cassidy, RC Clergyman Carluke, and the witnesses were Catherine Maclean and Matilda Kirk. |
