In the Church Baptism Record transcribed (above) and made available by the Irish Family History Foundation, William O'Rourk was recorded as having been baptised on 25 December 1852 in the RC parish of Dungannon in County Tyrone Ireland. His parents were Francis O'Rourk and Margaret Campbell. The address noted was Rossbeg. The first sponsor was recorded as 'Edward' and the second as 'Catherine McMahon'. It is unclear if the first is Edward O'Rourk, the name 'Edward' being of the O'Rourk side of the document, or Edward McMahon, the surname after Catherine being applicable to both Edward and Catherine.
William O'Rourke died in 1899. His death certificate recorded him as a single man of 37 years who worked as a coal miner. Both of his parents were dead. 1 2 3
