Other names for Jane were JINKS, Jane 2 and JINKS, Mary Jane.4 General Notes: In 1851 the census recorded Jane as Jane Campbell and she lived in Coathill, Lanarkshire. In 1861 she lived in Johnstone, Renfrewshire, and according to the Scotland's People 1861 Index her name was transcribed as Jane McConnell. The entry is practically illegible. She lived with her mother and her step father Martin, her sister Sarah, and her half sister and brother, Ann and John. She was recorded as a flax mill worker, 15 years old and born in Ireland. Jane married Thomas JINKS on 30 November 1866 in Abbey Parish, Paisley, Renfrewshire, Scotland.1 (Thomas JINKS was born about 1840 in Ireland 4.) |
