Sarah Stewart George was listed in the Australian Electoral Rolls at the same address as John McGill George, while he was alive.

In the Capricornia district of Queensland state she was listed with her husband:
in 1905 and 1908 at South Street Rockhampton, "home duties".
A 1905 listing for Sarah Stuart George in Rockhampton "domestic duties" also exists.

In 1919 to 1925 Sarah Stewart George is listed alone at Moore's Creek, Rockhampton North, "home duties".

In 1930, still in Rockhampton North, Sarah Stewart George was listed at Haynes and Mary Street, Park Avenue, "home duties". Next to her is Thomas McGill George, Henry Street, "fitter".

Sarah Stewart George was back in Moore's Creek on "home duties" in 1836, and Thomas McGill George and Ivy Lavenia George were at Thackeray Street, he a "fitter" and she on "home duties".

In 1837 the same three were at the same addresses, with the same designations. An addition was Mary Louisa George, living at Park Avenue, and on "home duties". This was the last electoral poll that names Sarah Stewart George. 4


Sarah married John McGill GEORGE, son of James GEORGE (DNA Link) and Jean McGILL, on 18 June 1886 in 6 Taylor Street, Newton on Ayr, Ayrshire, Scotland.1 (John McGill GEORGE was born on 2 May 1866 in Kilmaurs parish, Ayrshire, Scotland,6 died on 8 March 1919 in Queensland, Australia 7 8 9 and was buried on 9 March 1919 in South Rockhampton Cemetery, Allenstown, Rockhampton Region, Queensland, Australia 10.)


  Marriage Notes:

The marriage took place after banns according to the forms of the Free Church. Charles G. McLerie, Minister of Ayr Free Church officiated. The witnesses were Jessie Bain and James McClure.

John McGill George was a single man aged 20 years who worked as a stoker on the railway. He lived at Crook Moss Whitletts. His mother was deceased.

Sarah S. young was 21 years old and lived in George Street St Quivox. She was a single woman and her mother was deceased.

The marriage was registered on 21 June 1886 at Ayr. 1
