  Marriage Notes:

The marriage took place after banns according to the forms of the Free Church of Scotland. James Aitken of the High Church, Kilmarnock, conducted the marriage. The witnesses were James Johnston and Euphemia Colquhoun.

James Johnston, the bridegroom, was aged 23 years and was unmarried. He lived at Mansfield Street, Partick, in Glasgow. He was a mason by occupation. His father was deceased.

Jane Garven was 26 years of age and single. She worked as a domestic servant. She lived at 19 Dean Street Kilmarnock. 1
