Elizabeth Donaldson was recorded by the 1851 census living in Tarbolton with her husband, three daughters and her mother. A number of lodgers were also recorded there. Elizabeth had been born in ireland and was 46 years old. She was recorded as being a 'Chelsea Pensioner and Pauper's wife'.
