Mary married John GEORGE, son of Moses GEORGE and Grace BROWN, between 1885 and 1888. (John GEORGE was born in 1826 in Riccarton parish, Ayrshire, Scotland ^{2 3} and died 6 December 1888 at 6.25 pm in Isles Street, Newmilns, Ayrshire, Scotland ^{1 4}.). The cause of his death was bronchitis and debility.
