With her travelled her husband Mr H McCormick, a miner, and six others aged from 22 years to 5 years, the eldest three from 14 - 22 years were also miners.


Susan married Henry McCORMICK, son of Patrick McCORMICK and Rose Ann FLEMING, on 18 February 1898 in RC Church, Mossend, Lanarkshire, Scotland.1 (Henry McCORMICK was born about 1879 in England,1 6 died on 11 July 1958 in North Sydney, New South Wales, Australia 8 and was buried in Macquarie Park Cemetery & Crematorium, North Ryde, Ryde City, New South Wales, Australia.)


  Marriage Notes:

The marriage was celebrated after banns according to the rites and forms of the Roman Catholic Church. The priest was Charles Daly. The witnesses were James Whitters (written as Whatters then crossed out on the 'a') and Ellen Burns.

Henry McCormick was a coal miner aged 19 years who lived at 23 New Orbiston Bellshill. He was an unmarried man. His mother was deceased.

Susan Whatters [sic] was an unmarried woman aged 17 years. She lived at 63 Parkhead Rows Bellshill. Her mother was deceased.

The marriage was registered on 21 February 1898 at Bellshill, Gavin Blackie being the signing registrar. 1
