James McCaffry and Ellen Cavanagh were sponsors on 23 June 1861 in St Patrick's parish Coatbridge at the baptism of James, son of Robert Cavanagh and Martha Crawford. ²

James married Ellin CAVANAGH, daughter of Michael CAVANAGH and Mary CAMPBELL, on 8 July 1853 in St Patrick's RC Church, Coatbridge, Lanarkshire, Scotland.¹ (Ellin CAVANAGH was born in 1837 in Ireland ⁴ and was baptised on 28 March 1837 in Killeavy Lower parish, County Armagh, Ireland ⁵.)

  Marriage Notes:

James McCaffery and Ellen Cavanagh were married by Father Michael O'Keeffe in the presence of Francis Gunn and Bridget Scullion.

NOTE: The date and place given in the IGI of 19 June 1853 in Bothwell parish, Lanarkshire, Scotland was most probably the banns of marriage.
