The 1881 census recorded Bridget and her husband and family just a couple of years after their marriage. They lived at 2 Govan Street Blantyre. Bridget, born in Ireland, was aged 20 years and had two small children to care for.

Bridget was recorded by the 1901 census for Blantyre. She lived at Greenside Place with her husband and six children whose ages ranged from 22 to 5 months. She had been born in Ireland, and her age was recorded as 38 years. ^{2 3}

Bridget married Thomas CAVANAGH, son of Robert CAVANAGH and Martha CRAWFORD, on 20 February 1879 in RC Church, Stonefield, Blantyre. Lanarkshire, Scotland.¹ (Thomas CAVANAGH was born on 25 January 1857 in Bothwell parish, Lanarkshire, Scotland and was baptised on 8 February 1857 in St Patrick's RC parish, Coatbridge, Lanarkshire, Scotland ⁴.)

The marriage was celebrated after banns according to the rites and forms of the Roman Catholic Church. The presiding priest was Father Thomas Trawley. The witnesses were Robert Cavanagh and Margaret Cavanagh.
