Pierre was the eldest of his father's children. Like his father he played a part with the explorers Lewis and Clark in the early history of North America. He was a trader and interpreter.

SOURCES DIFFER

Pierre Dorion II (or Junior) was the first of 12 children, according to one source, and one of three sons according to another. Both could be right. In the early history of North America he, like his father, helped negotiate with the 'Indians' or North American native peoples.


Pierre married Marie LAGUISVOISE. (Marie LAGUISVOISE was born in 1787 in St Louis Territory, Missouri, USA, died on 5 September 1850 in St Louis, Marion, Oregon, USA and was buried on 6 September 1850 in St Louis Parish, Salem, Oregon, USA.)


  Marriage Notes:

Marie married Joseph venier after Pierre's death. Her third husband was Jean Toupin.
