  General Notes:

In the 1879 birth certificate of Sarah Feely in 1879, her mother's name was recorded as follows:
"Isabella Feely MS Munn (then Munn is crossed out) McGukie" Under this the place and date of the couple's marriage is recorded as
1877 May 11th Larkhall.

In 1881 the census recorded Isabella Feely living in Lesmahagow with her husband and 1 year old daughter. Isabella was born in Lesmahagow and was aged 23 years.

Isabella was recorded as aged 68 years when she died in 1928. She had been the wife of Charles Feeley, coal miner, and of Robert Mitchell, general labourer, both of whom predeceased her. Her own parents were deceased too. 1

  Medical Notes:

D. Livingstone Kerr MB ChB who saw Isabella after death, certified the cause of death. He wrote:
'In my opinion death was due to natural causes as a result of a chronic disease'.
An entry in the Register of Corrected Entries is available but not yet not seen.

The informant was the deceased's daughter, Sarah Taylor, of 49 Brewland Street, Galston, Ayrshire. She gave notice before Gavin Frame, registrar, at Hamilton on 21 January 1928.


Isabella married Charles FEELY, son of James FEELY and Sarah FARREL, on 11 May 1877 in Larkhall, Dalserf Parish, Lanarkshire, Scotland. (Charles FEELY was born in 1852 in Stonehouse, Lanarkshire, Scotland 1 2 and died before 19 January 1928.)


  Marriage Notes:

The marriage was celebrated according to the rites and forms of the Roman Catholic Church. Donald McKay, Roman Catholic Clergyman, officiated. The witnesses were John Casey and Thomas Keillooley.

The bridegroom, an unmarried man, Charles Feeley, of Hazelbank, was a miner by occupation and 23 years of age. He made his X mark. His father, James was deceased.

Isabella McGuckian, the bride, also made her X mark. She was a single woman who worked as a farm servant. her address was Abbey Green, and she was recorded as 18 years old.

The marriage was registered at Larkhall on 11 May 1877, James Anderson being the registrar.



Isabella next married Robert MITCHELL. (Robert MITCHELL was born about 1855 and died before 19 January 1928.)
