Edward married Catherine FEELY, daughter of Robert FEELY and Rose MAGOWN, on 17 April 1864 in RC Chapel, Hamilton, Lanarkshire, Scotland.1 (Catherine FEELY was baptised on 9 May 1844 in Shankill RC parish, County Armagh, Ireland and died 30 May 1917 at 8.10 pm in 84 Muirpark Rows, Bellshill, Lanarkshire, Scotland 2.). The cause of her death was senile decay.


  Marriage Notes:

The priest who celebrated the marriage was James Danaher RCC. The witnesses were James Duncan, who made his X mark, and Rosan Kaine.

Edward Gallaugher was a house painter (journeyman) aged 26 years. He was unmarried. His address was recorded as 20 New Wynd, Hamilton. His mother was deceased and his father was living.

Catherine Feeley, who made her X mark, was also unmarried and was aged 19 years. She was a tambourer. Her address was Church Street, Hamilton. Her father was deceased and her mother still living.

The marriage was registered on 21 April 1864 at Hamilton, James Wilson being the signing registrar.
