Agnes married Samuel GEORGE, son of Moses GEORGE and Mary McLEAN, on 23 August 1872 in Newmains, Lanarkshire, Scotland.1 (Samuel GEORGE was born in 1852 in Kilmarnock, Ayrshire, Scotland 5 10 and died 28 November 1924 at 5.05 pm in Thrashbush Home, Airdrie, Lanarkshire, Scotland.). The cause of his death was gangrene of the foot.


  Marriage Notes:

The marriage was celebrated at Newmains according to the traditions of the Free Church of Scotland. P. G. Millar was the officiating minister. The witnesses were John McRae and Mary Bell.

Samuel George, a railway guard, of Newmains, was a bachelor of 19. His father was dead and his mother living.

Agness Bell, a domestic servant, also of Newmains, was an unmarried woman of 22. Both of her parents were living.

The marriage was registered at Wishaw on August 27 1872, Thomas Steele being assistant registrar. 1
