Other names for James were SANDELANDES, James 3 and SANDELANDS, James.3 User ID: W515. General Notes: Part of Craibstone was sold in 1536 by James Gordon 3rd Laird of Abergeldie to James Cheyne, Burgess of Aberdeen. The resulting feud between the Aberdeen authorities and the Forbes family of Strathgirnock may have resulted in it coming into the hands of this man. At any rate, by some means, Craibstone seems to have been returned to the Gordons of Abergeldie, at least for part of the 17th century. (House of Gordon) 5 James married Catherine PATERSON in 1606.1 (Catherine PATERSON was born about 1585.)
