Ann married John McLURE, son of John McLURE and Ann LUKE, on 18 June 1858 in Hayfield, Borthwick Parish, Midlothian, Scotland.^{1 2} (John McLURE was born about 1834 ².)

The marriage was celebrated according to the forms of the Church of Scotland. James Reid, minister of Borthwick, married the couple. The witnesses were Thomas Adams and David Adams.

John McLure was 24 years old and resident at Hayfield. He was a labourer and single.

Ann Adams also resided at Hayfield. She too was single and was 21 years of age. No occupation was noted. She made her X mark.

The marriage was registered at Borthwick on 22 June 1858, Alexander MacDougall being the signing registrar. ²
