   Cause of his death was whooping cough over several weeks.¹

David Adams was recorded as 11 months old when he died in 1859. He was buried in Borthwick burying ground, Midlothian, as certified by Walter Smail, beadle. ¹

  Medical Notes:

Duncan Mc Gregor, surgeon, of Pathhead, who certified the cause of death, had seen the deceased child on the 22 March 1859, the day before he died.

David's father, John Adams, gave notice of his son's death before Alexander MacDougall, registrar, at Borhwick, on 26 March 1859. ¹
