Thomas and Margaret Dickson had a Son, born the 6th. of Janry 1781 and Baptized the 14th. Do. (ie ditto= January) Called Robert Witnesses Thomas Mouat [sic] and Robert Wallace"

Robert Muat, his wife Margaret, and their children Robert and Thomas, were recorded by the 1841 census for Haddington living in Court Street. Robert was a shoemaker aged 59 years, his wife was 44 years old, and his children were 11 and 7 years old respectively. All were born in Scotland
