  Research Notes:

A POST

A post from 2008 on the Curious Fox website requests information on this Patrick, and may offer some clues for the interested researcher:
:
" Ogilvie families 2008
Interested in Ogilvie families in the 17th and 18th centuries, particularly those at Raggal and Buchraggie. Patrick Ogilvie of Raggal (c.1650-1731) had a son George who was known as Factor Ogilvie and may have been at Raws in Boyndie or Banff parishes. Patrick seems to have married twice to 1) Margaret Syme and 2) Elizabeth Dunbar (d. 1738). If anyone has been going through sasines records or the Register of Deeds concerning these families I would like to hear from them." 4

Patrick married Elizabeth DUNBAR.1 (Elizabeth DUNBAR was born about 1668 and died before 28 July 1744 1.)

  Marriage Notes:

"Subsequently George Abernethy and John Abernethy, younger of Corskie, his nephew, granted an Obligation to pay George Barclay an annuity of £100 Scots, besides binding themselves to discharge an account due to the Executors of the deceased Mrs. Elizabeth Dunbar, relict of Pat. Ogilvie of Raggall and others,
whereupon Barclay grants a Discharge of his Claims on the property to Abemethy, who had now the fee of the same (hiswife having died childless), which is of date at Banff, 28 July 1744. Sir Wm. Gordon of Park is a witness."
