In the baptism entries for Patrick Gordon (1739) and Hellen Gordon (1741) no mother's name is recorded. Margaret Gordon is first recorded as the wife of Alexander Gordon in Haddoch in the baptism entry for their son Alexander Gordon in 1749. 1
