(at Cromdale in 1778) "LEWIS GRANT, born 1735, son of George G., min. of Kirkmichael; educated at Marischal College, Aberdeen; M.A. (1753); licen. by Presb. of Forres 17th July 1759; ord. to Duthil 20th Sept. that year; trans, and adm. 14th July 1778; died 9th Jan. 1798. A man of great kindness and hospitality. He marr. 15th Sept. 1764, Robina Clerk, who died 17th March 1826, aged 80, and had issue George; Jean Duff, born 1766 (marr. Grigor Grant, min. of this parish); Anne marr. 4th Dec. 1797, Robert Grant of Kincorth); Alexandrina (marr. James Grant, min. of Urquhart and Glenmoriston); Robina (marr. 6th June 1807, John Muterer, merchant, Forres. Publication Account of the Parish (Sinclair's Stat. Acc viii.)."
