Thomas married Janet GRANT, daughter of John GRANT 5th of Freuchie and Lilias MURRAY, after 1626.¹ (Janet GRANT was born about 1605 and died by 1644 ⁶.)

  Marriage Notes:

in. Jean or Janet,
born about Michaelmas, 1597.
On 19th September, 1612, at Duffus, she was
contracted in marriage to William Sutherland,
younger of DufFus, the tocher being 9,500 merks.'
Her husband, the Laird of Duffus, died 21st
October, 1626, leaving issue by her. She married,
secondly, Thomas Mackenzie of Pluscarden. ¹

Thomas next married Jean COCKBURN, daughter of Sir William COCKBURN of Langton and Helen ELPHINSTONE, in 1644.² (Jean COCKBURN was born about 1610.)

"Jean Cockburn is the daughter of Sir William Cockburn of Langton, 1st Bt. and Helen Elphinstone. She married, firstly, Alexander Dunbar of Grange, son of Thomas Dunbar and Grisell Crichton, in January 1632. She married, secondly, Thomas Mackenzie of Pluscarden in 1644 [....]
