David married Lilias ROSE, daughter of David ROSE of Earlsmill, Nairn and Christine CUTHBERT.¹ (Lilias ROSE was born about 1630 and died in February 1654 ¹.)

Lilias Rose, maried to Mr. David Dunbar, second son to Ninian Dunbar of Grangehill. She dyed in February 1654."

David next married Janet LESLIE, daughter of Alexander LESLIE 8th of Pitcaple and Elizabeth LESLIE, September 1677(contract).^{2 3} (Janet LESLIE was born about 1658 and died by 3 October 1690 ⁴.)

  Marriage Notes:

"JANET, married to David Dunbar of Kirkhill. A decreet of adjudication was issued, at the instance of Patrick, Count Leslie, fifteenth Baron of Balquhain, against Alexander Leslie, ninth Baron of Pitcaple, charged to enter heir to the deceased Alexander Leslie of Pitcaple, his father, in the lands of Pitcaple. One of the debts mentioned in the adjudication was due to Janet Leslie, sister of the said Alexander Leslie younger, and spouse of David Dunbar of Kirkhill, 7th November 1682."
