In 1851 William Tweedle was aged 16 years living in Barrhead Renfrewshire with his parents and family. He was a bleacher. The census records his birthplace as Renfrew. ⁶

William married Patrick DORIS on 20 May 1723 in Saint Nicholas Parish, Aberdeen, Scotland.^{1 2} (Patrick DORIS was born about 1800.)
