Jane gave birth to her son David on the afternoon of 24 July 1856 at Queen Street Motherwell.

Jane married James QUIGLEY, son of Robert QUIGLEY and Jane KERRY, on 3 Mar 1856 in Dalziel, Lanarkshire, Scotland.^{1 2} (James QUIGLEY was born about 1822.)

  Marriage Notes:

The marriage was according to the tradition of the Church of Scotland. It took place in Motherwell in the parish of Dalziel. The couple were married by the minister, J. Louden. The witnesses were James Page and Thomas McKenzie.

James Quigley, aged 34 years, a 'hammerman', was marrying for the first time. The bride, Jane McCutchion was 29 years and worked as a cook at Jerviston House in the parish of Bothwell.

Jane next married Jane KERRY on 29 Aug 1820 in Lumphanan parish, Aberdeenshire, Scotland. (Jane KERRY was born about 1795 and died after 3 Mar 1856.)
