  • Died: 21 March 1891 at 1.00 am, Inverkip House, Greenock, Renfrewshire, Scotland 2

  General Notes:

Arthur was not recorded as living with his parental family by the census in 1851.

Arthur's occupation was recorded as 'land surveyor'. He was also called 'Master of the Twenty ninth' in his 1891 death certificate. He died 'aged 84', according to his death certificate, though since his wife was already dead, and the notice was not given by a family member, this age may not be fully accurate.

  Medical Notes:

The cause of Arthur's death was certified by Dr James Whiteford.

James Simpson, for William Simpson undertakers, 48 Vennel, Greenock notified Arthur's death to the interim registrar A.K.Baird.

Arthur married Mary COCHRANE. (Mary COCHRANE was born about 1810.)

Arthur next married James WILLIAMSON, son of Mr WILLIAMSON and Mary CALLICHAN, about 1790. (James WILLIAMSON was born about 1833 in Shotts Parish, Lanarkshire, Scotland 3.)
