  General Notes:

The 1881 census recorded Catherine and Hugh McGovern. Catherine was a laundress, born in Ireland about 1843.

When Catherine died in 1882 at Neilston, Renfrewshire, Hugh McGovern, her son, was the informant of her death. She was recorded in her death certificate as a single woman. ^{3 4}

Catherine had a relationship with Hugh QUIGLAY, son of Thomas QUIGLEY and Mary CASSIDY. (Hugh QUIGLAY was born about 1838 in Ireland and died after 26 Nov 1862.)
