   Other names for Agnes were DEVLIN, Nancy,^{2 6} DULAGHAN, Agnes ⁷ and VALALY, Agnes.⁴

The 1855 birth certificate of her daughter Mary Valaly recorded Agnes Valaly or Devlin as 18 years of age and born in Banbridge, County Down, Ireland. Mary was her first child.

Agnes was recorded as 36 years old at her death in 1868. ^{4 5}

Agnes married James VALLELY, son of John VALLELY and Agnes DEVLIN, on 1 Sep 1796. (James VALLELY was born on 6 May 1862 in Bothwell Parish, Lanarkshire, Scotland ⁷ and died 21 December 1862 at 6.00 pm in Carfin, Lanarkshire, Scotland ⁸.). The cause of his death was inflammation of the brain begun the same day.⁵

Agnes next married John VALLELY, son of John VALLELY and Mary ROCKS, on 27 Feb 1854 in St Mary's RC Chapel, Hamilton, Lanarkshire, Scotland.^{1 2} (John VALLELY was born about 1835 in Dungannon, County Tyrone, Ireland ⁴ and died after 10 Jun 1875.)
