WILSON, Olivia

Olivia married Augustus Frederick WILSON, son of Sergeant Major George WILSON of the Royal Artillery and Elspet HERD, in Jun 1520.¹ (Augustus Frederick WILSON was born on 17 Apr 1827 and was christened on 24 May 1827 in Alvah Parish, Banffshire, Scotland.)

  Marriage Notes:

"On 4 March 1527-28 he and his wife had a Crown charter of the lands of Navidale,
in the parish of Kildonan, and of Garty, Lothmore, and others, in the parish of Loth."

"He married Janet Stewart, eldest daughter of John Stewart, second Earl of Atholl, and Janet Campbell, his wife. (See title Atholl.) The marriage probably took place about 16 June 1520, though Sir Robert Gordon refers it to the year 1518. The Mistress of Sutherland survived the Master, and married, secondly. Sir Hew Kennedy of Girvanmains before May 1532; thirdly, before November 1544, Henry, Lord Methven ; and, fourthly, about 1557, Patrick, Lord Ruthven, having issue to each husband. According to Sir Robert Gordon, her fifth husband was James Gray, son to Lord Gray of Poulis, without issue."
