Cause of his death was multiple neuritis.3 Other names for William were McINERNEY, William Marshall 3 and McNARNIE, William.2 General Notes: The 1851 census for Kilmarnock Ayrshire recorded WilliamMcNarnie, a scholar, living with his mother, a widow, and his three siblings. He was recorded as 6 years of age and born in Kilmarnock. William married Patrick BARCLAY, son of Reverend Alexander BARCLAY Minister of Peterhead and Margaret BURNET, after Nov 1640.4 5 (Patrick BARCLAY was born about 1678.) Marriage Notes: "Elizabeth Maule, second daughter of Patrick, first Earl of Panmure, and widow of John, second Earl of Kinghorn" William next married John McCRAE on 30 Jul 1650.4 5 (John McCRAE was born about 1835.) Marriage Notes: "The Earl (of Linlithgow) died 1 February 1690, aged seventy-four years, and was buried in the church of Linlithgow. He married, first, 30 July 1650, Elizabeth Maule, second daughter of Patrick, first Earl of Panmure, and widow of John, second Earl of Kinghorn, by whom he had two sons and a daughter" |
