  General Notes:

Agnes Marshall was included in the 1841 census living at Capron Closs (Close) in Kilmarnock, and had been born in Ayrshire. She was recorded as a 'pauper' ie, she had no income and no savings to live off.

In the 1861 census for Kilmarnock, Ayrshire, Agnes Marshall was recorded as the head of the household living at 19 Fore Street. She was a widow, bedridden, and recorded as 93 years of age, born in Kilmarnock. With her lived her daughter, Sarah, also a widow, and six grandchildren with a variety of surnames. ^{5 6}

Agnes married Robert MARSHALL, son of Robert MARSHALL and Agnes LOGAN.^{1 2} (Robert MARSHALL was born on 3 Jun 1807 in Kilmarnock Parish, Ayrshire, Scotland ³.)

"Helen or Helenor, only daughter by first marriage ; married (contract dated 26 and 31 January 1583-84) to Alexander, first Earl of Linlithgow."

"He (Alexander Livingston) married (contract 26 and 31 January 1583-84) Helen or Helenor Hay, only daughter by his first marriage, of Andrew, eighth Earl of Erroll. She was a devoted Catholic, and was hunted from church to church by the Presbytery of Linlithgow in a vain attempt to effect her conversion. By her the Earl had three sons and two daughters"
