Robert married Mary STARS MS UNKNOWN. (Mary STARS MS UNKNOWN was born about 1790 and died after 18 Jan 1856.)

Robert next married Patrick QUIGLEY, son of Peter QUIGLEY and Mary Ann AIRLEY.¹ (Patrick QUIGLEY was born on 14 Jan 1871 in Hutchesontown, Glasgow, Scotland ³.)

  Marriage Notes:

"His (John Gordon's) Son John Gordon ... Laird of Pittlurg married my Lord Forbes daughter with whom he begat two Sons [and a daughter Barbara married Hon. Alex. Elphinstone, 3d son of fourth Lord Elphinstone ] viz. John Gordon fifth Laird of Pittlurg and Mr Robert Gordon of Strathlock."

The fourth laird of Pitlurg was also named John Gordon; the fifth laird was his brother, Robert Gordon of Straloch.




"Isabel (Forbes), born 16 October 1548, married to John Gordon of Pitlurg. She was buried at Aberdeen on 22 March 1622."
