This was the second child in the family to be given this name.

James Tweedley was recorded as aged 9 years when the 1881 census for Govan parish was taken. His birthplace was noted as Glasgow.

When his father reapplied for parish relief in November 1911 he noted in listing his children:
"James aged 39, born Dobbies Loan, married with 4 children to Ann Connolly in Dumbarton"
In another part of the application we read of "His son, James - last seen in Central police office for 'riping pouches' (sic)." ³

James married Ann CONNOLLY in 1898 in Dumbarton, Dunbartonshire, Scotland. (Ann CONNOLLY was born about 1875.)

James next married Hugh McLEISH, son of Hugh McLEISH and Elizabeth HANAGAN.¹ (Hugh McLEISH was born in 1882.)

"Edward (Sinclair) 4th of Dryden m. (1) Margaret, dau. of David Ramsay of Bangour (Linlithgowshire)"
