In 1841 Elisabeth Vallely was recorded by the census living in her parents' home in Market Lane, Springburn near Glasgow. She had been born in Ireland and was a Power Loom Weaver. Her age was noted as 15 years. ²

Elisabeth married Samuel CURRIE, son of John CURRIE and Margaret RAE, on 7 Dec 1798 in Saint Cuthbert's Parish, Edinburgh, Scotland. (Samuel CURRIE was born on 11 Dec 1815 in Rerrick, Kirkcudbrightshire, Scotland ³.)

Elisabeth next married Charles McKENDRY, son of Bernard McHENDRY and Mary McKENDRY, on 8 Feb 1864 in St Margaret's RC Chapel, Airdrie, Lanarkshire, Scotland.¹ (Charles McKENDRY was born on 7 Aug 1825 in Lead, County Antrim, Ireland ⁵.)

  Marriage Notes:

Elisabeth was a widow of 37 years of age, of Graham Street Airdrie. She was a housekeeper. She made her X mark to sign.

Charles McHendry was a widower. He was 38 years at the time of this marriage, a coal miner, of Oman (sic) Iron Works in the parish of Shotts.He signed the register.

Fr Duncan McNab CC, of Airdrie, married the couple in a Roman Catholic celebration. The witnesses were Edward Murphy, who made his X mark, and Janet Wilson. The marriage was registered at Airdrie on 9 February 1864, William Whyte being the registrar. ¹

Elisabeth next married Mr RICCARDS. (Mr RICCARDS was born about 1825.)
