KING, Mary 2General Notes: Mary was aged 23 years, according to the 1841 census for Dundee, and living at Butterburn with (presumably) her family. She was a handloom weaver and had been born in Scotland outside of Angus. 2 Mary married David CADDELL, son of Richard CADDELL and Susan KANE, on 15 Feb 1672.1 (David CADDELL was born about 1881 in Scotland 3.) Marriage Notes: "On 15th February 1672 David Gregorie married (secondly) Isabel, daughter of John Gordon, bailie and merchant in Aberdeen, and by her had fourteen children. This lady was connected with the family of the Duke of Gordon, and her brother, John Gordon, Provost of Aberdeen, was a most eminent personage in that city." |
