ARON, Jessie ^{2 3}

  General Notes:

The 1881 census recorded Jessie Aron as a three year old child living in Lainshaw Street Stewarton Ayrshire, where she had been born. She lived with her parents and four siblings, Helen aged 11 years, William aged 9 years, Agnes aged 5 years and James aged 1 year.

The 1901 census for Glasgow Bridgeton recorded Jessie Vallely as the wife of Edward Vallely and living with him and their children at 543 Dalmarnock Road. She was recorded as being born in Stewarton Ayrshire and aged 23 years. She was recorded in the census as the mother of Mary Vallely aged 3 years and Edward Vallely aged 3 months. Incongrously she was also listed as the mother of 27 year old John Glen, possibly Edward's son as the census entry states but hardly Jessie's!

The informant of Edward Vallely's death was Jessie Aron, housekeeper, who gave notice before the registrar, A. Sutherland, on 20 December 1912 at Glasgow. ^{4 5 6}

Jessie married Mary VALLELY, daughter of Edward Patrick VALLELY and Jessie ARON.¹ (Mary VALLELY was born about 1898 in Govan parish, Lanarkshire, Scotland ⁶.)

Jessie next married Edward Patrick VALLELY, son of John VALLELY and Margaret ADAMS. (Edward Patrick VALLELY was born on 18 Mar 1848 in Kilmarnock, Ayrshire, Scotland ^{7 8 9}, christened on 23 May 1848 in St Joseph's RC Parish, Kilmarnock, Scotland ⁹ and died 13 November 1912 at 5.15 pm in 13 Bartholomew Street, Glasgow, Scotland ⁵.). The cause of his death was aortic aneurism.
