Research Notes:
KRISTINE
In this spelling, the name is not very common in Argyll and it is not at all common in other parts of Scotland. 'Christian' 'Cristan' or 'Cristiane' would have been the old spelling of the name, 'Christine' or 'Christina' the more modern one.
One record contributed by an LDS member (Latter Day Saints), is the christening of Donald Henry, son of John Henry and Christian McMaster in Kilmory parish, Bute.
This is the sort of family naming that might have led to Kristine's baptism.
Kristine married John McKENRICK.1 (John McKENRICK was born about 1700.)
Marriage Notes:
"Marjorie, who was married to Walter, High Steward of Scotland. She died 2 March 1215-16, leaving one son, who eventually became king as Robert II." (page 8)
"The Stewart's first wife, so far as recorded, was the Lady Marjorie Bruce, by whom he had an only child" (page 14)
from Scots Peerage (vol 1)
Note: In page 8, 1215-1216 is a typological error for 1315-16. 1
